Happy New Year
Well I have been so wrapped up in reading everybody elses blogs I forget to post updates on my own blog. I need to start putting all the fabulous creative ideas I learn about on all the different blogs I visit everyday. I love new ideas but I need to learn to stay focused on one thing and finish it before moving on to another.
I knitted a hat for my daughter's husband-to-be in his fav color, bright green. I had alot of yarn left over so I knitted a scarf to match his hat.
I just finished crocheting an owl I learned about. I think he is cute. So now I am working on a white owl. Soon as I finish the white owl I will begin knitting and crocheting for my daughter. She is expecting her first baby. So Exciting! She is not having an easy time with feeling nauseas.
I will be working on a white chrocheted crib blanket then a Cat in the Hat themed baby quilt.
This will be a year full of life!

My Very First Scrapbook Layout of my Sweet Granddaughter

I had so much fun creating my very first scrapbook layout pages of my sweet granddaughter. I had the best time working on it over at my daughter's home with her. I used the layout from the CTMH page kit she did called Twitterpatted. I have been adding little embellishments here and there as I get inspired to do so. Like today I have added scrunched ribbon and stickers since these photos.
I got to use my paper I love from Melissa Frances and Webster's Pages and cotton eyelet lace and scallop edge punch with lots of little pink gems sprinkled about.
I used my Slice to cut out Scrolls and her name and mushroom stamp set from CTMH.

Tuesday Mornin' in September

I am hoping to hear from my eye Doc today so I can pick up my new glasses. Can't wait to see clear again.
Yesterday I finally finished putting the new screen door on. Now to keep the cats from ruining the screening. Need to find a gaurd for it.
Today I am going to spend some fun time with my granddaughter Leah. She is such a joy to be with. She is very creative and talented.
I love these flowers that always put on a bright sunshine yellow gold show in the fall. They grow taller than me and they are beautiful.

I Love Spending Time With :
Portland Back Bay
A pretty view on the trail of some Sweetpeas.
09/16/09 - Daughter and Mother. On our fun journey around Back Bay 3-1/2 mile trail.
Last Wednesday evening I had a wonderful time with my No 2 daughter, Tonya. We went to the Whole Foods in Portland. I loved it there and could spend way to much m0ney but great products can be had. Then after we ate some Sushi we walked around the 3 and a !/2 mile trail around the back bay of Portland Harbor. I really surprised myself that I could do it so easy cept when I had to go at the last mile. Next time I will plan the water drinking a little better. No fun walking a mile with a full bladder and weak muscles. ;0 The best part was being with my daughter. I enjoyed her company so much and we let our hair hang out. FUN time. Thankyou Tonya. I love you.
Thursday I got my eyes examined and ordered new glasses. I cannot wait to get them. I am hoping I will love Transitions without No-Glare coating. ????
I need to work on putting the new screen door on the house. My cat really did a number on the old one. I have to go borrow my Dad's skillsaw today. Also trying to make a choice on getting new hinges. I hate the spring loaded ones.
Monday Monday.... so good to me....
we are having such fab weather and I found fab prizes to be had....check it out...
I just found a great blog and they are featuring an awesome give-away this week. I like how they use sketches and may find them very useful when creating our ideas.

Last Week of August

My grandbaby is so adorable. She loves to water the flowers, but mostly likes to play with the hose to fill up her watering can. We had so much fun together.
I am back to post an update. I am going to change my photo showing my new haircut. I didn't like it at first but now it has grown out a little so I am learning how to style it better.
I just learned today that I am a winner of a goodie box from this very great blog. I find so many great ideas. I am so excited to know I will receive some awesome product from them. Can't wait. I love their magazines. They have beautiful photos of all the submitted projects. I love the perfect size of the idea books too.
Today is a wonderful day! :)

Thursday very early mornin'
This was a very proud day for our Son-In-Law David. Graduating and getting a scholarship to Boot! We are so very proud of you David. Our Best Wishes for your future in college.I guess I will catch up with my blog. I have been a fill in for Brady's Cleaning this week. Quite an experience I must say. I can't wait for pay day so I can order my new eye glasses.
Last week I spent three afternoons painting my Aunt's ceiling for her. She is in her eighties and lives alone. Now I need to paint my walls in the kitchen and livingroom then I want to paint my ceilings.
It has cooled off alot this evening. It was really hot in the businesses we went into to clean.
I found a blog today that is very inspiring. Here is the link:
I found scrapbook paper on sale at Joann's Fabric store today. Die Cuts With A View Paper Stack: The Fun in the Sun Summer Stack. 180 sheets of printed paper for $8.97. Regular 19.99.
